An HR Business Partner that FORMs a perfect picture 🧩

FORM, a US-based company, offers the world’s fastest, most accurate, and fully integrated task management and image recognition solution for smarter retail execution. Founded in 2002, they are a global software company with a focus on providing large andmid-sized organizations with the most powerful mobile data collection technology on the market.
FORM asked us to find an HR Business Partner who shares their company values, and we found a professional who ticked all the boxes.

The challenge

FORM was looking to reorganize the People Management team across two global headcounts — US / EU. For that purpose, the team was searching for an HR BP based in Krakow who would be responsible for the EU headcount (~200 employees).

Quite the responsibility, huh? Here is where it gets even more challenging.

We needed to find someone with a proven track record of:
- Building strong relationships with top and middle managers
- HR processes and procedures guru – someone who not only describes policies theoretically but successfully implements them.

Another challenge was the working environment: FORM operates at a very high speed, and there are a large number of changing requests and tasks. So, resilience has to be the key personal trait of the search professional.

Some previous managerial decisions were undocumented. HR BP would need to dig deeper to determine whether the future approaches are compatible.

How did we manage to find this HR BP Sensei?

Many candidates were fit for the role requirements but not the spirit of the position. Rather than focusing primarily on skills, we emphasized personality traits and thorough candidate evaluation to present to the hiring manager.

We decided to do things differently:
- Developed specific questions for screening calls based on FORM's mission and values (it helped us to get more precise during candidate evaluation)
- Worked closely with the hiring manager to coordinate our search and debriefed candidates
- Maintained consistent and clear communication with all candidates in our pipeline, building partnerships

We decided, ‘This is the way,’ and our approach worked beautifully.

The hired specialist has successfully passed the probation period, is now very satisfied with her job, and achieved great success in a demanding workplace. She has proved that diamonds are made under pressure. �
